Job Summary:

To perform various administrative and technical tasks that will assist the claims department in handling claims.

Job Duties

Claim File Set-Up: Accurately Set-Up Claim files in iVOS and/or GENIUS including issuing Acknowledgement letters, creation of hard files (if necessary) and distribution of files to Claim Analysts. Claims that have been identified as a Priority (Urgent, Rush, High or Moderate Potential of Exposure, etc) should be set-up within 1 business day of the date in which it was assigned by Claims Management. 85% or better of all claims that are set up should be acknowledged within 5 business days of initial receipt.

Claims Project Support: Prompt and effective response to department assignments including telephone back-up for Claim Analysts, Notice of Loss printing, audit preparation, meeting organization, document copying, etc.

Cross-Functional Back-up Support: Ability to provide back-up to other Claim Assistants as required including all Claim File Set-Ups, creation of Loss Runs for internal or external distribution, iVOS payment entering process, Credentialing requests, mail distribution, filing needs, etc.

Genius Payment Entering Process: Claim Analysts in GENIUS accurately and timely. If received prior to 2 pm, payment should be entered that day.

Job Requirements:

* 2 year college degree or 3 - 5 years insurance work experience.
* Strong computer skills, especially in windows based applications.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Organized and detail oriented.
* Prior insurance experience preferred.
