Your responsibilities - Take the lead on record keeping and control systems to provide internal safeguards - Oversee payroll staff as well as operations - Manage and monitor all internal and external audits - In charge of weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Shed light on pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensure amounts/deductions are properly applied to the earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws - Perform thorough analysis on payroll - Collaborate with additional members of senior Finance leadership staff - Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis - Oversee pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies - Meet with senior executives and cross-functional business leaders to present information and respond to any questions they may have - Recruit staff in addition to growing and leading a successful team - Review and improve current processes by suggesting, leading, and working on projects - Foundational knowledge in PeopleSoft Human Capital - Deep understanding of PeopleSoft HCM - Payroll experience desired - In-house payroll experience - Experience with PeopleSoft - Understanding of multiple payroll applications - Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification favored - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company - This position is best suited for candidates with strong interpersonal skills - Skilled in payroll-related cloud-based technology solutions Our industry-leading alliances and broad client network provide you greater access to a variety of unique interim and long-term project opportunities that can keep you continuously engaged.
