The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success. This role will lead the strategic procurement activities for the software and hardware categories.
The role will work closely with various IT stakeholders often at the executive level.
Should be able to advocate on behalf of the Global IT Sourcing Category in internal forums.
Should be able to provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other members of the team.
Lead the strategic sourcing activity related to IT software and hardware categories
Strong understanding of digital capabilities in sourcing and supply chain. Robust digital mindset.
Monitor latest category market trends to ensure fundamental understanding of industry trends
Analyze and understand category spend and develop long-term IT software/hardware procurement strategy in collaboration with IT VMO / Service Lines / CIO Staff and business stakeholders.
Be able to negotiate complex high value deals and provide negotiation oversight to other members of the team
Support the implementation and continued advocating of a strong Supplier Management process to ensure good supplier relations and strong SLAs with suppliers with a focus on service quality and reliability, responsiveness, service delivery and cycle time improvement. Leadership resolving any supplier service issues.
Investigate opportunities for vendor consolidation and contract optimization including Enterprise License Agreements (ELA)
Must have a strong focus on cost reduction targets and be able to build an opportunity pipeline for cost savings/avoidance
Have deep understanding of RFX processes and be able to conduct e-auctions when applicable
Ensure compliance to Corporate policies and procedures with suppliers (i.e. Data Privacy / Safe Harbor, Information Protection, Ethics Policy, Buying Policy, Code of Conduct, etc.).
Participate in on-going development and implementation of world-class Procurement practices and procedures.
Manage a team of 3 5 resources.
Education & Experience required:
Bachelor s Degree in Supply Chain or I.T.
15+ years of I.T procurement experience in a large publicly traded company.
