You will support all major engine programs, interface with Design, Manufacturing Programs, Turbine Airfoil Value Stream and Finance personnel, and support business commercial activities including development of multi-year forecasts and new program introduction cost. Essential Responsibilities: The Airfoil Casting Buyer will : Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panelsLead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliersNegotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to ProcurementManage claimsIncludes commercial sourcing management, purchasing activities, such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.Negotiate the best commercial and technical package for procurement requirementsWork with allocated key suppliers to improve On Time Delivery and Quality statistics to target levelsCommunicate across direct organizationPresent to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific purchasing space and on cross functional teams on how purchasing contributes to overall strategyAssist in the continuous development of the Procurement function towards best practiceIdentify and deliver value-adding opportunities from the supply chainAdvise Functional managers or other Functions regarding approaches, processes and procedures within own fieldHas a role as a project leader of medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projectsAVIHotJobSourcingHJ Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing)Minimum of 3 years of experience in Commodity Management ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT : This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens.
