A Director of Indirect Sales for GTT is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding relationships with subagents focused on selling mid-market enterprise customers. A Director of Indirect Sales is responsible for hiring and managing a team of 6-8 Channel Managers, generating additional demands through partner events; studying the market for newer trends; managing channel conflicts; coordinating with marketing to delivery marketing programs focused on the master agents and their sub agents who are not selling GTT today; and fostering relationships between channel partners and sellers.. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:. Build relationships with 400-600 sub agents focused on selling mid-market enterprise customers ($10-$35K a month in spend). Solution based selling and sales management experience in current role in the telecommunications space within market.. Exceptional strategic planning and revenue management, P&L or net margin experience.. Success leading and managing sales teams.. Success with hiring, managing, and mentoring a successful sales team.. Strong track record.. Strong financial acumen.. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.. Designs and implements account strategies to grow the business and the relationships within sub agent accounts.. Will build a successful team by hiring and retaining talent. Will set goals, coach and mentor team, assign territories and work load, provide accountability and guidance to ensure success. Conducts accurate sales forecasts, and achieves sales targets.. Develops and executes sales plans, compensation plans, and strategies for the market.. Qualifications:. The ideal candidate will have the following:. 5+ years of experience in indirect sales in the telecommunications/technology sector. Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding a monthly sales quota. Thorough knowledge of the customer base in the assigned geography. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, facilitation and presentation techniques. Strong leadership/team skills and a positive track record in executing sales process and coordinating among internal and external stakeholders. Ambition and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
