  • Provide support to Fragrance Development Leaders, Implementation and Support, Product Development, Marketing to verify and ensure fragrance compliance for allergen reporting, biodegradability, natural and free from and other claims.

  • Conduct Olfactive fragrance evaluations to confirm fragrance quality and reformulation acceptability.

  • Lead fragrance ingredients transparency initiatives and portfolio management.

  • Lead fragrance simplification projects for various categories.

  • Partner with cross functional teams to align on project objectives and execution to drive projects to completion.

  • Perform GC, GC-MS, GC Headspace fragrance analysis in accordance with standard procedures to ensure quality, compliance and reformulation strategies.

  • Design experiments and method development using appropriate analytical techniques to research fragrance nonconformance, off odors in raw materials, personal and home care products, fragrance base interactions, fragrance performance in novel formulations and technologies.

  • Support manufacturing with fragrance analytical testing related to implementation of new processes.

  • Maintain various databases, results reporting, extract information from SAP.

  • Prepare reports and presentations to summarize fragrance research findings and project updates.

  • Support to day-to-day operation and maintenance of analytical instrumentation troubleshooting, adjustments, calibration, performance qualification, ordering supplies and consumables.

  • Provide training for junior scientists and internship students, assist them with daily tasks when needed.

  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or higher degree in Chemistry or Science related field

  • 8+ years of fragrance/consumer goods industry experience in a global environment

  • Strong skill set in fragrance olfactive evaluations

  • Working experience with various analytical chromatographic methods and sample preparation techniques.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written/verbal) with all levels within the organization

  • Good project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize

  • Ability to initiate and maintain excellent working relationships across various departments and fragrance suppliers

  • Functional knowledge of the Fragrance & Flavor industry

  • Problem solver, collaborative, creative and open minded
