Kforce has a client in search of an Instructional Designer in Farmington, Connecticut (CT). Overview: This person will partner with multiple areas and be able to manage several projects at a time. Working independently and adhering to deadlines are a necessity for this role. The candidate will display a strong aptitude for detail and editing and must accurately capture business operations/processes to document them in an easy to understand format. They must have solid functional abilities to leverage multimedia technology and authoring tools effectively as part of the delivery of education goals. This requires demonstrated proficiency using tools such as Oracle's UPK and Adobe Captivate. Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Excel, and Word are preferred, but intermediate working knowledge is required. They must possess strong written and oral communication skills to complement mastery of the tool suites. Qualified candidates will have greater than 5 years of experience working with PeopleSoft Finance and Supply chain applications and understand how to articulate the concepts in training materials. This knowledge and ability must translate to a demonstrated mastery of adult learning theory and formal instructional design methodology for curriculum creation. Ideally this candidate has 5 plus years working in a health care setting. Key responsibilities will include:
Building, testing, and managing new and current training material
Maintaining policy and procedure documentation related to training
Building training for new staff, and coordinating documentation for software upgrades and changes in business processes
Assists in development and communication of the training schedule
Responsible for building lesson plans and course review questions
Data integrity and a demonstrated understanding of managing protected and personal data is critical and must adhere to our confidentiality guidelines
Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
