Responsible to tear down cores and remove all parts using hand and power tools.. Sort parts to get them ready for cleaning.. Follow all approved Standardized Work Instructions for the teardown area.. Disassembler may be assigned to use computer to verify cores and parts.. Assure safety standards are used at all times and comply with all OSHA and L&I regulations.. Complete all training from Teardown Standardized Work Instructions.. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Competent in following all Teardown Standardized Work Instructions and can read specifications and verify pictures from the computer program.. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Lifting 5-50 pounds using the proper lifting techniques or equipment, bending, and twisting. Standing for entire shift. Loud work environment. Personal Protective Equipment is required at all times including Safety Glasses, Steel toed boots, and Hearing Protection. Some cleaning jobs will also require use of Face Shield.. Preferred Qualifications: Engine Disassembly, Remanufacturing and Engine Experience.
