    METTLER TOLEDO Thornton, a Strategic Business Unit within MTPRO-US, is a leading supplier for on-line liquid process measurement solutions for pure and ultrapure water applications. Thornton's innovative analytical measurement solutions provide monitoring and control capabilities to customers in the Pharmaceutical, Microelectronics, and Power generation industries.

    The Document Control specialist is responsible for daily administration and execution of tasks related to engineering change, product data maintenance and documentation control. You will directly interact will many functional areas of the business to assist with the proper administration and implementation of engineering changes, and will work closely with R&D engineers and product development teams to help with release of approved design changes, and new product designs.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Engineering Change and Product Documentation Administration

    Maintain accurate control of local product documentation including but not limited to engineering drawings, work instructions, assembly procedures, operating manuals, and other documentation as required by the business.

    Execute tasks related to daily maintenance and execution of engineering changes, ensuring that execution of each change is accurately documented and stakeholders are well informed throughout the process.

    Assist other members of the organization in the accurate submission of engineering changes, and with understanding their role in the engineering change process.

    Work with all functional areas to track, and to document completion of activities associated with engineering changes. Help to facilitate smooth and timely implementation of engineering change requests.

    Work with requestors to ensure a high degree of accuracy and completeness for engineering change requests throughout all stages of the ECM process.

    Product Data/ERP System Maintenance

    Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of SAP applications and process related to PLM activities, including Material Master Data and Introduction, Bills of Materials, Document Info Records and Change Masters. Assist other users within the organization with use and understanding of these systems.

    Responsible for routine maintenance of product data within the ERP system, including material masters, and Bill of Materials and Document Info Records within the ERP System.

    Work with other internal departments to ensure correct product structures are established for NPDI projects, and for Engineering Changes where applicable.

    Master Data Maintenance

    Responsible for daily execution of Material Data management activities within the organization, and for developing a deep understanding and use of good data management practices to maintain a high level of data quality and consistency.

    Participate in New Product Development projects to facilitate effective and accurate product structure and setup as part of New Product Introduction.

    Routinely monitor the Material Introduction processes. Facilitate this process within the organization to ensure timely completion material enrichment.

    Other Responsibilities

    Supports and assists in the completion of additional projects as assigned by the Head of PMO or Document Control Supervisor.

    Participates in intra-company teams such as Audit, Safety, Recreation, etc

    What You Need to Succeed

    Associate's Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience desired. Commercial CAD Certification or equivalent work experience with Creo, Solid Works or equivalent software plus. High Attention to Detail and desire to deliver top-notch quality and accuracy a must. Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills are necessary. Experience with Documentation Control in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment in one of the following areas preferred: Experience with SAP a strong advantage. Proficient in the use Microsoft Office suite including Word, Visio, Outlook and especially Excel.
