Job Description

Reporting to the VP Business Solutions, the Account Executive will oversee sales responsibilities for dedicated accounts/assigned prospects aligned for outside sales opportunities. This role will be representing MJH Life Sciences media brands within the B2B (non-clinical) segments, reaching vertical audiences that include medical professionals. The position will be responsible for reaching outside sales annual revenue targets that result from programs that include print/digital media, content marketing platforms and custom projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Account Management (60%)

  • Identifies and/or maximizes the sales opportunity for assigned in assigned product or customer category, or territory; includes current and potential customers, market leaders and/or strong market influencers.
  • Contacts customers, prepares presentations, identifies and closes sales opportunities.
  • Researches customer/client needs and creates a solution that meets their objectives.
  • Generates direct sales from cold calling, follow-up calling, industry trade shows, virtual meetings and face-to-face meetings.
  • There will be an emphasis on virtual/online and face-to-face meetings with outside sales account base with up to 25% of time being spent within territory for live meetings.
  • Creates a sales plan to achieve revenue goals with manager.

Reporting and Analytics (30%)

  • Provides ongoing sales pipeline metrics and plans to reach annual sales revenue target assigned.
  • Performs research in the marketplace, developing lists of new prospects and lists of existing accounts for contact and/or follow-up purposes.
  • Develops and maintains contact lists for agencies and marketing companies providing services to our customers.
  • Utilizes SalesForce.com for all client contact and scheduling, and opportunities pipeline management.

Support/Other (10%)

  • Maintains strong industry credibility through mandatory attendance at industry events, staying up to date on new market developments and vendor solutions; and communicating this information to both key existing accounts and potential new accounts.
  • Provides strategic input and direction to help guide the team on products and market trends.
  • Attends other internal mandatory meetings and trainings as required.
  • Provides support and performs special projects as needed.
