Job Summary: The System Administrator (SA) is primarily responsible for administering and supporting a broad base of technologies to support Needham Banks technology needs. The SA will be responsible for contributing, managing, and delivery projects on time. In addition, the SA will be responsible for assisting in capacity planning, disaster recovery, datacenter management, backups, documentation, server based application support, and tier 2 troubleshooting. A successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with an aptitude for learning new skills and environments quickly while multi-tasking on more than one high-priority deliverable. Develop documentation and procedures, train and transfer knowledge to ensure department can meet continuity requirements. Ensure departments meets established service level agreements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that enterprise computing resources are available to the end users at all times. Support and administer the server, network, and application environment. Implement new technologies. Plan and expand the enterprise systems infrastructure. Coordinate systems capabilities with user and business needs while anticipating future requirements of both the internal systems and end users. Act as technical resource and mentor for junior staff in Information Technology department. Assist in delivering successful change management and maintenance scheduling. Manage the system vulnerability remediation process. Work with application vendors to resolve system issues in a prompt manner Manage backup, restoration, and testing process of disk to-disk backup, and SAN to SAN replication. Ensure backup strategy recovery time and recover point objectives meet service level agreements. Prepare ,maintain and formalize documentation on IT systems. Crosstrain peers, ensuring continuity of the specialized IT function across the department. Adhere to industry regulations and best practices for continuity, security, and integrity of the IT systems. Experience and Skills: Thorough knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems Thorough knowledge of group policy and active directory administration Experience fully virtualized computing environment Must be able to communicate with users with all levels of computer experience Must be able to work unsupervised; be a team player; and reliable to start and finish a project in a complete and timely manner Maintain a positive and professional image of the Bank Results oriented, ability to hold application vendors accountable for problem resolution Attend work on a regular basis, on time, and withstand varying degrees of stress Ability to diagnose and correct hardware and software configuration problems Knowledge of the Bank's software applications, technological infrastructure, networking and network design, and all data processing systems Ability to write and communicate adequately and coherently in a business environment Strong interpersonal skills Develop and maintain an extensive knowledge of the Banks reporting environment and requirements Ability to adhere to Needham Banks Core Values ( Focus on Customer Relationship, Embrace Change, Work as a Team, Be an Asset to Your Community, Always Learn, and Do the Right Thing ) Bachelor of Computer Science or Associate Degree in Information Technology VMware ESXi, Horizon, and Microsoft certification Minimum of ten years experience in administering and troubleshooting an enterprise environment.
