This position will have the primary responsibility for leading the technical design, analysis, and architecture activities for electrical and software control system components used in a variety of applications globally.
The successful candidate will be able to work with multi-functional teams and has a solid understanding of systems engineering principles and practices including functional allocation, architecture development and evaluation, and risk assessment as applied to electrical and software systems. The system engineer is able to translate customer requirements into high quality innovative and market leading solutions. The candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, and is able to collaborate in a dynamic team environment.
Analyze, develop, and provide strategic direction for electrical and software control system components and architectures.
Champion requirements gathering and documentation.
Work with software and electrical teams to develop and document requirements and functional allocation.
Lead alternatives analysis for various architecture and design decisions
Work with multiple engineering teams and key stakeholders to define component interface standards, functional allocation, and requirements.
Review and analyze new technologies for application in new product developments
Experience with real time control algorithms and/or safety logic including sensor evaluation and integration for control systems.
Experience with developing electrical or software architectures to meet performance and cost requirements.
Ability to analyze functional requirements and allocation to meet product deliverables and constraints.
Experience with performing or leading alternatives analysis to support critical decision making for product and system designs.
Proven ability to work with various teams, key stakeholders, and customers to meet commitments
Experience with modeling and simulation tools
Experience with CAN communications or similar serial communication technologies
Experience in contributing or leading DFMEA
Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
