Your role We're looking for our first US employee so this is not for the faint-hearted, you will be supported and have regular visitors but we need a local expert and leader to help us grow the company revenue through targeting and developing sales opportunities. This means closing new business while driving account expansion. We already have customers in the US but now our product is maturing and better than ever so we want a real presence and ideally grow a team. That starts with generating revenue. We still need to set up an office, we have a space we can hire but this can either be a home or office-based role though will likely be remote working initially, including spending time at client sites building relationships and pitching. You will need to work with senior executives within the prospect/customer base and with the leadership team internally. This requires personal gravitas, maturity and the ability to build logical and persuasive arguments. You will work with the UK Sales team and into our CEO. Youll also partner with marketing to develop and mature the US go to market approach building and testing campaigns, marketing collateral and sales/marketing tools. You will need to be a strong communicator and will collaborate regularly with our Customer Success and Product teams to make sure we are capturing our customers needs and requests. Responsibilities Lead the efforts in the US, drive business, make our name, get the foothold and grow a team as needed Manage and close new business via net-new clients as well as expanding existing client accounts Create a sales plan for quota-overachievement (and a broader plan for US success once we know we have the revenue) Generate a buzz around what we do Stateside, plenty of activity, on point messaging, networking, events, conferences, clever positioning - make us known! Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers across the prospect and client base, executing a strategy for land-and-expand Develop and maintain relationships with senior executives in particular CEOs, CFOs, Ops Directors, HR Directors, Procurement Officers within the target customer base Work strategically with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to ensure seamless, value-driven approach from first meeting through to roll-out and expansion Preside over operations and be highly skilled in building processes and customer and employee engagement Requirements You will either come from a relevant SAAS Sales background, a sector synergistic consulting background or be a commercial thought leader in one of our target market segments (retail, hospitality, transportation, casual dining etc) but we'd like to see as many of these as possible: 5+ year track record of sales success within SaaS/enterprise environment in the US in our sweet spot Experience developing new business territories or sector growth with a systematic and disciplined approach Experience negotiating commercial contracts, financially modelling and pricing structures within a SaaS environment or target audience market A network which you can leverage as Quorso prospects A consultative way of working with strong command stature / executive presence at the C-Suite level; demonstrated ability to identify, develop and build strong relationships at the C-Suite level Previous experience developing financial business cases and confidence in presenting them in sales pitches A history achieving and exceeding targets. You will be results driven but will achieve individual and team wins through collaborating well with colleagues Excellent verbal and written communication and in-person and virtual presentation skills Ability to work independently and to collaborate effectively across functions across time-zones as part of a team Ability to synthesize data, make data-driven decisions and balance quantitative measurement with an intuition-driven bias to action. Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a strong bias to action.
