This role will support a growing Operations organization and develop global processes to sustain flexibility as the business needs change. The role calls for a strong and confident individual, able to drive many projects and initiatives simultaneously and perform a range of technical services.Primary responsibilities include:* Partners with Operations/Supply Chain leads across the global organization to lead key projects and initiatives* Manages operations of suite of manufacturing and supply chain applications, and interacting with system owners, system admin and networking teams as necessary* Develops strong partnership with Operations functional team and customers to ensure open communication and alignment on ongoing initiatives and understanding of business requirements and impact* Evaluates current state environment and drive initiatives to improve current environment* Develops expertise in current technology through training and experience and provides recommendations on industry best practices* Ensures the planning, coordination and execution of Manufacturing/Supply Chain technology infrastructure maintenance and upgrade tasks (migration to different hardware/cloud and/or operating system, licensing of new features and/or upgrades)* Direct resources in Troubleshooting and and mitigation of issues. This includes creating work processes and performing effective root cause analysis* Ensures coordination of change control activity as required (e.g. new releases, software updates, configuration changes) and testing and deployment of application and security patches* Maintains security, compliance, and change control governanceEducation / Certifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Manufacturing or related business discipline(s)Experience / Qualifications:* IT Project or program management experience in the Operations function* 10+ years' experience working with application support and infrastructure components and services with the ability to quickly diagnose and remediate service issues* Experience with Manufacturing processes and applications required* Experience with Manufacturing Execution, PLM or Supply Chain applications required* Oracle/ JDE experience beneficial* Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., Azure) and database administration and development are a plus* Demonstrated customer focus, evaluating decisions through the eyes of the customer, building strong relationships and evidence in partnering with customers to help shape their future initiatives* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicating in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluating information to make decisions, anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve* A passion for current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsOtis, a United Technologies company, is the world leader in reliable, efficient and technologically advanced elevators, escalators and people-moving systems.
