Excellent opportunity for highly motivated individual to assume the Global Payroll Tax Accounting Funding Manager role within the Controller?s organization. The organization offers opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a growing accounting department and develop global processes to sustain flexibility as the business needs change. Ideal candidate will be located in Farmington to globally serve their responsibilities. Also, the candidate will be the ambassador of the Global Payroll Center of Expertise with the regional Shared Service leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate reports to the Associate Director, Payroll Tax and Accounting. This position is responsible for the oversight / governance of the global payroll accounting and funding process within the Global Payroll Organization. Candidate will play a lead role in balancing development of a global payroll accounting and funding methodology regional and country level business requirements. The candidate will have interaction with all Otis business units and third-party vendors.

Design and govern all aspects of the payroll accounting process, focused on innovating a global general ledger interface solution (GLI), standardizing upstream accounting processes within the businesses and continuing to drive consistency and transparency in a globally consistent, locally compliant payroll accounting sandbox.?

Design and govern the Otis global payroll funding process, partnering with Otis Treasury to define, develop and mature Otis global payroll funding tools and methodology. Balance regional and country-level business requirements with need for globally consistent funding methodology and Otis Treasury technology enhancements (i.e. SAP global treasury solution).

Oversees payroll aspects of all global accounting initiatives to ensure global consistency and local compliance with regulatory, statutory and legal obligations.

Embeds and ensures Otis? accounting best practices exist within the global payroll accounting process and culture, working closely with regional partners.

Ensures accountability of global and local vendor relationships by establishing and measuring performance via SLAs / KPIs.

Work closely with Conduent Payroll Tax Operations to monitor form W-2C and related adjustment transactions. Coordinate with ADP to ensure timely filing of amended payroll tax returns.?

Lead and/or participate in projects within the Payroll Accounting Tower relating to payroll tax accounting matters.

Education:

  • Four-year degree in accounting and / or finance required. Advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years? experience in global payroll accounting and / or treasury responsibilities required.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, quality assurance (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, ACE) tools and concepts desired.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of international financial and accounting principles
  • Proven analytical and trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with limited guidance
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must be capable of international travel
