The new position will strategically promote the Laboratory of Medical Zoology's (LMZ) services (including popular TickReport tick testing service) to individuals, interest groups and potential partner agencies. The incumbent would be responsible for executing marketing and enrollment strategies, cultivating relationships with contracted partners, community organizations, and various at-risk groups involved with outdoor recreational and/or occupation activities. As part of that relationship cultivation, the incumbent will be responsible for communicating feedback from enrolled partners and individual subscribers to LMZ scientific staff to improve services and value added components of the Outreach program. This role works closely with scientific staff and plays a supporting role in strategic planning, organizational development and communications as they relate to ticks and tick-borne disease and specifically the role of tick testing as public health surveillance and risk assessment tool.
