Job Summary Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Executive Director Marketing & Operations (EDM&O) acts as a key member of the Marketing & New Business Development (MNBD) leadership team. The EDM&O supports strategy and development of initiatives designed to drive the evolution of the University s online educational offering. This includes responsibility for both the management and execution of University brand messaging as well as successful delivery of online student recruitment programs. Exercises discretion and operates independently. Essential Functions Lead strategy and development planning of initiatives designed to support the evolution of Online Education (OE)/University Without Walls (UWW) into a multi-modal experience. Define a process designed to promote centralized communications across University Relations (UR), OE and college teams. Plan, execution and measurement of all marketing activities related to student recruitment of online programs with focus on advertising and top-level activities. Ensure on-strategy and on-time delivery of marketing programs supporting key new business development initiatives. Manage prioritization for the development of revenue-generating programs in the MNBD pipeline. Leverage market research to support program growth and identify new opportunities. Establish policies and protocols in support of campus-wide online marketing and branding efforts, ensures adherence to brand and operating guidelines, and provides counsel to facilitate efficient client communications and expectations. Provide leadership and strategy to the marketing and operations team. Manage development of university brand messaging. Lead execution of new communication campaigns across colleges and key stakeholder groups. Work with individual school/college leadership to highlight their unique strengths and meet strategic priorities. Ensure brand expressions are consistent including ongoing management of brand style guide and development of toolkit(s). Monitor and report on key university marketplace trends, competitive activity, etc. As a member of the Operations/Administrative team, will participate in planning and resource allocation. Will be involved in sensitive matters including employee relations, act as a grievance hearing officer, and participate in labor relation matters. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure) Bachelor s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field and 7 years of experience in marketing, customer/client relations, project management, and/or related field. Demonstrated ability to work independently and formulate independent decisions regarding policy and procedures, take initiative, set priorities, problem solve and exercise good judgment in a fast paced environment. Expertise in marketing strategy, planning online marketing and market research methodologies. Experience generating, developing, and executing impactful brand, product marketing, and PR outcomes. Excellent communication, project management, budgeting, analytical, writing and interpersonal skills. Supervisory experience, with ability to lead and direct work of others. Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure) Master s Degree preferred.
