The position is located in a group home in Averill Park, NY. Required Education, Knowledge and Skills: 3 year's experience as a Direct Support Professional or Associates Degree preferably in the Human Service field preferably with a similar population Abilities and Working Conditions: Must be available to work a minimum 40 hour work week Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Must be able to stand and run for moderate periods of time Must have a valid NYS driver's license Must be able to perform physical interventions and maintains SCIP certification Willingness to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population Maintains medication administration certification per program standards Work weekend and evening hours as outlined in schedule Can adequately communicate orally and in writing. Basic computer literacy Promotes and supports cultural diversity and is sensitive to those served.
